Kendall Jenner joined the many celebrities who wore completely sheer dresses to Vanity Fair’s Oscar after-party yesterday evening. Jenner’s transparent black corset dress was from Maison Margiela’s spring/summer 2024 couture collection. She styled her hair up in a bun with it and wore a statement red lip.

The model posed on her own at the party, but her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner and their mom, Kris Jenner, were also in attendance.

Jenner spoke to W magazine in September about her style. She was asked about embracing the quiet luxury trend at the time.

“If you go back in time, I think you’ll find I’ve always had that aspect to my style,” she said. “But also, I feel that I’ve been very versatile throughout my life. I love the elegance of certain things, but I’ll also do an easy, comfortable, cool-girl vibe. I love a waist snatcher, but I also love a baggier moment. I find myself looking at Jane Birkin a lot. She was the coolest and so elegant, but there was so much sex appeal. Sometimes she’d wear something sheer and her boobs and butt would be out, and I love stuff like that. She was really not afraid to take risks.

She also touched on how her mother, Kris, and the women in her family inspire her in and out of work. “I come from a long line of businesswomen—even my grandmother and my great-grandmother had their own businesses,” she said. “I watched them when I was very, very young, and I watched my mom find her way. She never went through any sort of training to do the things that she did. She just bossed it out.”
